What formats do you accept?
We accept VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, Video8, MiniDV, and Digital8 tapes. All formats are the same price per tape.
How long does the process take?
Standard orders take 2–3 weeks from the day we receive your tapes. Premium orders are processed in 5–7 business days. Rush processing is available as an add-on.
What if my tape is damaged?
We'll do our best to recover the footage. If a tape turns out to be completely unplayable, there's no charge for that tape. We'll notify you before processing if we spot any issues.
What file format will I receive?
All digitized videos are delivered as MP4 files with H.264 encoding — they play on any device, computer, phone, or smart TV.
Is my footage kept private?
Absolutely. Your tapes and files are handled with strict confidentiality. We delete all digital copies from our systems 30 days after delivery unless you request otherwise.
How do I send my tapes?
Pack your tapes securely in a box with padding and ship them to the address provided after you place your order. We recommend using a tracked shipping service for peace of mind.
Is return shipping included?
Yes — return shipping of your original tapes is free within the continental US. You cover the cost of shipping tapes to us.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only accept orders from within the United States. International shipping is on our roadmap — sign up for our newsletter to be notified.
Will I get my original tapes back?
Yes, we always return your original tapes. They'll be shipped back to you along with a USB drive if you ordered one.
What's the minimum order?
2 tapes minimum per order. This helps us keep processing costs down and pass the savings on to you.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes! 5–9 tapes gets you 10% off, 10–19 tapes is 15% off, and 20+ tapes is 20% off. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and PayPal. Payment is collected when you place your order.
What's your refund policy?
If you're not satisfied with the quality, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll re-process your tapes at no extra charge. If a tape is unplayable, you won't be charged for it.
What is AI upscaling?
AI upscaling uses machine learning to enhance video resolution and clarity beyond what the original tape captured. It sharpens details, reduces noise, and can bring old footage closer to modern HD quality.
Can I upload digital files for upscaling only?
Yes! Our online portal lets you upload existing digital video files for AI upscaling — no tapes needed. Just upload, choose your settings, and download the enhanced version.
What resolution can I expect?
It depends on the source quality. VHS tapes are typically upscaled to 1080p. Digital uploads can be enhanced up to 4K depending on the original resolution and file quality.
Does upscaling work on all video types?
AI upscaling works best on footage with moderate degradation. Severely damaged or extremely low-quality source material will still see improvement, but results vary. We offer a free preview of one tape so you can judge the quality before committing.
